Hosting of the Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for Palestinian Development (CEAPAD)

  1. Japan will co-host the "Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for Palestinian Development (CEAPAD)" with Palestine in Tokyo on February 13 and 14, 2013, as a part of efforts toward achieving the Middle East peace.
  2. The main objectives of the Conference are to support Palestinian efforts for state building by sharing East Asian countries' experience in economic development and expertise in assistance to Palestinians among participants, and discussing effective ways of cooperation, so as to promote the Middle East peace process and regional stability.

The outline of the conference is as follows:

Wednesday, February 13 Welcome reception hosted by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan
Thursday, February 14 Conference

Venue: Mita Kaigisho, Tokyo

Prospective participants:
