- The 1st meeting of the Japan-India Maritime Affairs Dialogue will be held in Delhi, India on January 29, 2013.
- From the Japanese side, Mr. Kazuyuki Yamazaki, Deputy Director-General (Ambassador), Foreign Policy Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the representatives from the Secretariat of the Headquarters for Ocean Policy of the Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Coast Guard, and the Ministry of Defense will attend the meeting. From the Indian side, Mr. D.B. Venkatesh Varma, Joint Secretary, Disarmament & International Security Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, and the representatives from the Ministry of Defence, the Coast Guard, the Ministry of Shipping, and the Ministry of Earth Science will attend the meeting.
- In this meeting, Japan and India will exchange views on bilateral maritime cooperation as well as international and regional maritime issues.
