- Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan from August 6 (Fri) to August 11 (Wed).
- In Uzbekistan, Foreign Minister Okada will attend the Third Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the “Central Asia Plus Japan” Dialogue to be held on August 7 (Sun) in Tashkent. At the meeting, the participating ministers will exchange views on each country’s initiatives and cooperative efforts toward peace and stability and on the economic development and prosperity of the region. Minister Okada will pay courtesy calls on national leaders and have bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of participating countries; He will also visit economic cooperation sites and conduct other official duties during his stay in Uzbekistan.
- After attending the above meeting, Foreign Minister Okada will visit Astana, Kazakhstan, from August 9 (Mon) to August 10 (Tue) and will have bilateral meetings with the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan. Minister Okada will also pay courtesy calls on national leaders and visit economic cooperation sites and conduct other official duties during his stay in Kazakhstan.
