Visit to the Middle East by H.E. Mr. Yutaka Iimura, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for the Middle East (Representative of the Government of Japan)

- H.E. Mr. Yutaka Iimura, the Representative of the Government of Japan, assumed his post on July 15 (Wed). He also took over the duties of Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for the Middle East from H.E. Dr. Tatsuo Arima.
- Special Envoy Iimura will visit Egypt, Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Syria from August 1 (Sat) to August 13 (Thu).
- During his visit, Special Envoy Iimura will exchange views regarding the situation in the Middle East, such as the Middle East peace process, with senior officials of the government of each country (including concerned people from the Palestinian Authority).
