- On July 28, the third meeting of the “Consortium for Improvement of
Education and Research System for the Indian Institute of Information Technology,
Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur (IIITDM-J)” will be held in the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs.
- The meeting will be attended by Prof. Aparajita Ojha, Director of IITDM-J,
those from universities which take part in the consortium including the
University of Tokyo as a chair school, Japanese private companies, the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science
and Technology of Japan.
- In December 2006 when H.E. Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India,
visited Japan, the two leaders of Japan and India confirmed that they would
cooperate with each other for the development of the IIITDM-J with a view
to fostering human resources for the promotion of the manufacturing industry
of India and promoting academic exchanges between the two countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended support to the IIITDM-J through refining the curriculums and providing short-term intensive courses, and training young teachers and students of the IIITDM-J in Japan, with the help of Japanese professors and corporate researchers.
