Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. S.M. Krishna, Minister of External Affairs of India

- H.E. Mr. S.M. Krishna, Minister of External Affairs of India, will visit
Japan from July 2 (Thu) to 5 (Sun) as a Guest of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.
- On July 3 (Fri), Minister Krishna and H.E. Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Minister
for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will hold the third Japan-India Strategic
Dialogue at the Foreign Ministers’ level. At this dialogue, Ministers are
expected to discuss approaches to strengthen bilateral relations between
the two countries, as well as exchange views concerning the cooperation
between the two countries toward regional and international challenges.
During his stay in Japan, Minister Krishna is also scheduled to pay a courtesy
call on H.E. Mr. Taro Aso, Prime Minister of Japan.
- This is the first visit by minister from the new cabinet of the Government of India which was formed in May 2009. The Government of Japan welcomes the visit and hopes that it will further strengthen the friendly relationship between Japan and India.
