- The Sixth Round of the Negotiation on the Trilateral Investment Agreement
and the Twelfth Meeting of the Governmental Mechanism for the Improvement
of Business Environment among the People’s Republic of China, Japan and
the Republic of Korea will take place on April 14 (Tuesday) and April 15
(Wednesday) in Kunming, China.
- The meetings will be attended by Mr. Masato Takaoka, Deputy Director
General, Economic Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Chief Negotiator
of Japan) and Mr. Atsuo Kuroda, Deputy Director General for Trade Policy,
Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as well as other officials from
relevant ministries of Japan; Mr. Sun Peng, Deputy Director-General, Department
of Foreign Investment Administration, Ministry of Commerce (Chief Negotiator
of China) and other officials of China; and Mr. Kim Seung-ho, Deputy Director-General,
Bilateral Trade Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Chief Negotiator
of Korea) and other officials of Korea.
- During the Negotiation on the Trilateral Investment Agreement, discussions will take place on draft articles proposed by the three countries. At the Meeting of the Government Mechanism for the Improvement of Business Environment, participants will discuss follow-up measures to the Action Agenda on the improvement of business environment in the three countries, which was announced in December of last year.
