Visit to Japan of His Excellency S R Nathan, the President of the Republic of Singapore, and Mrs. S R Nathan

His Excellency S R Nathan, the President of the Republic of Singapore, and Mrs. S R Nathan, will pay a visit to Japan from May 9 to 16, 2009, and will stay as State Guest from May 11 to 15, 2009.

During their stay in Japan, the President and Mrs. S R Nathan will make a State Call on Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan. Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress will host a State Banquet in honour of the President and Mrs. S R Nathan.

Mr. Taro Aso, Prime Minister of Japan, will pay a courtesy call on the President.

The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the President and Mrs. S R Nathan, which will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the Republic of Singapore.
