Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Attend an International Conference on Afghanistan

  1. Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will attend the International Conference on Afghanistan to be held in the Hague, the Netherlands, on March 31 (Tue).
     
  2. The Conference, co-hosted by the United Nations, the Netherlands and Afghanistan, will discuss comprehensively the future of Afghanistan and express support of the international community to the country, which will have the presidential election in August.
     
  3. As a leading country among the international efforts for the reconstruction of Afghanistan, Japan will actively participate in the discussion in this Conference.
