His Excellency Mr. Nong Duc Manh, General Secretary, Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, will pay an Official Visit to Japan from April 19 to 22, 2009.

During his stay in Japan, the General Secretary will be received in audience by His Majesty the Emperor.

Mr. Taro Aso, Prime Minister of Japan, will hold a meeting with the General Secretary.

The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the General Secretary, which will further strengthen the friendly relationship between Japan and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
