Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Attend the Festival on the Eve of “Vietnam Festival 2008,” a Commemorative Program to Celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relationship between Japan and Viet Nam, and Mr. Shintaro Ito, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, to the Opening Ceremony of the “Vietnam Festival 2008”

- Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will attend
the festival on the eve of “Vietnam Festival 2008”, a commemorative program
to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship
between Japan and Viet Nam, to be held at the Event Plaza of Yoyogi Park on
the evening of September 19 (Fri). In the morning of the next day, the
20th (Sat), Mr. Shintaro Ito, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, will attend
the opening ceremony of the Festival, to be also held at the Event Plaza of
Yoyogi Park.
- H.I.H. Crown Prince will attend the opening ceremony of the Festival. From Vietnamese side, a mission consisting of parliamentarians and high-ranking officials of the Government of Vietnam headed by H.E. Mr. Ho Duc Viet, member of the Politburo, Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Vietnam-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Association, will attend the ceremony.
