Trilateral Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Japan, the People’s Republic of China, and the Republic of Korea

- A Trilateral Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Japan, the People’s
Republic of China, and the Republic of Korea will be held on June 14 (Sat)
at the Annex of Iikura House, Tokyo. From the People’s Republic of
China, Dr. Yang Jiechi, and from the ROK, Mr. Yu Myung-hwan will participate.
Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs, will
chair the Meeting.
- This Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will be the second, following
the Meeting held in Cheju Island, ROK, in June last year, as a foreign ministerial
meeting held independently from other international conferences such as
ASEAN-related ones.
- At the upcoming Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, it is expected that opinions will be exchanged mainly on the regional and international situation, and trilateral cooperation, taking into account that the Summit Meeting among Japan, People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Korea is now being arranged to be held in Japan this autumn.
