Visit of Indian Youths (Winners of Japanese Language Contests) under the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS Programme)

  1. From June 3 (Tue) to 12 (Thu), 120 young Indians who are winners of Japanese speech contests, Japanese essay contests, excellent students at private-sector Japanese language educational institutions, etc. will visit Japan under the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme.
     
  2. The group, after paying a courtesy call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan on June 4 (Wed), will be divided into six groups to visit Miyagi, Kyoto, Osaka, Okayama, Hiroshima and Okinawa Prefectures respectively.  There will be such events as opinion exchanges with local university students and home stays in each prefecture.
     
  3. Under this fiscal year’s JENESYS Programme, about 500 youths, including above 120, will be invited from India.
