The Seventeenth Japan-Iran Vice-Ministerial Regular Consultation

Mr. Kenichiro Sasae, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit Iran from May 23 (Fri) to 26 (Mon) to meet with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and other officials of the Government of Iran. Mr. Sasae will also meet with Mr. Mohammad Ali Hosseini , Acting Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs in charge of Asia and Pacific to hold the Seventeenth Japan-Iran Vice-Ministerial Regular Consultation on May 24 (Sat) in Tehran.
At the Consultation, views will be exchanged on Japan-Iran bilateral relations, and regional and international affairs including Iran’s nuclear issue, the situation in Iraq, the situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East peace process.
