The Second Japan-India Working Group Meeting on the cooperation toward establishment of a new Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)

- The Second Working Group Meeting on the cooperation toward establishment
of a new IIT will be held on May 1 (Thu) in New Delhi.
- The Working Group Meeting will be attended, on the Japanese side by
those concerned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education,
Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and participating universities;
and on the Indian side, by those concerned from the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Ministry of Finance
and the IIT.
- Based on the Joint Statement issued last August by the Prime Ministers of Japan and India, discussions will be held to explore possible collaboration for a newly established IIT.
