Implementation of “Japan-Brazil Leaders’ Exchange Program in the 21st Century : Invitation of Young Brazilian Leaders of Japanese Descent”

- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will implement a “Japan-Brazil Leaders’
Exchange Program in the 21st Century: Invitation of Young Brazilian Leaders
of Japanese Descent” from April 22 (Tue) to 30 (Wed).
- Celebrating this year’s “Japan-Brazil Exchange Year/100th Anniversary
of Japanese Emigration to Brazil”, this program will invite 25 young Brazilians
of Japanese descent who will take leading positions in the society of Japanese
Brazilians and also in Brazil and play active roles as a bridge between
the two countries, deepen their understanding of Japan, their ancestral
country, and increase their awareness of their role in strengthening relations
between Japan and Brazil.
- During their stay in Japan, they will visit various organizations, receive lectures and visit local places, through which they will get in touch with Japan’s politics, economy, society, traditions, history of emigration, etc. They will also attend a Commemorative Ceremony of the Japan-Brazil Exchange Year/100th Anniversary of Japanese Emigration to Brazil.
