Dr. Yang Jiechi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, to Visit Japan

  1. Dr. Yang Jiechi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, will visit Japan from April 17 (Thu) to 20 (Sun) as Guest of the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
     
  2. During his stay, Dr. Yang will have a Japan-China Foreign Ministers’ meeting with Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, interact with political parties in Japan, and visit Kanagawa, Osaka, and Nara.
     
  3. In view of the scheduled visit to Japan by Mr. Hu Jintao, President of the People’s Republic of China, they will exchange views on the present situation and perspective of Japan-China relations and the two countries' cooperation on various international issues to embody the establishment of the "mutually beneficial relationship based on common strategic interests."
