Visit to Japan by the Rt Hon Tony Blair, Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

 The Rt Hon Tony Blair, Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, will visit Japan from 14 to 17 March, 2008.

 During his stay in Japan, the Rt Hon Tony Blair will make a courtesy call on Mr Yasuo Fukuda, Prime Minister of Japan, as well as give a general statement at the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Gleneagles Dialogue on Climate Change, Clean Energy and Sustainable Development.

 This visit to Japan is to participate in the 4th meeting of Gleneagles Dialogue, which the Rt Hon Tony Blair had started during his tenure of the premiership, and to exchange opinions with Japanese opinion leaders on the issues including climate change.
