Japan-New Zealand Workshop on the Environment

- On March 25 (Tue), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a "Japan-New Zealand Workshop on the Environment" at Mita House in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and other related organizations.
- This workshop will be attended on the Japanese side by a group headed by Mr. Kyoji Komachi, Ambassador for Global Environmental Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and on the New Zealand side by a group headed by Mr. Adrian Macey, New Zealand Ambassador for Climate Change.
These groups will include government officials, specialists and scholars on environmental issues from the two countries, and the participants will give reports and exchange views on environmental policy and environmental technology. They will also discuss the possibility for future cooperation.
- On March 26 (Wed), the participants will observe Japan's cutting-edge environment-related technology at the National Institute for Environmental Studies and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Tsukuba.
