The First Japan-India Working Group Meeting on the Cooperation toward Establishment of a New Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

- The First Working Group Meeting on the cooperation toward
establishment of a new IIT will be held on February 7 (Thu) at the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs.
- The Working Group Meeting will be attended, on the Japanese
side by those concerned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of
Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and seven universities; and
on the Indian side, by those concerned from the Ministry of Human Resource Development,
the Indian Embassy in Tokyo and the IIT.
- Based on the Joint Statement issued last August by the Prime Ministers of Japan and India, discussions will be held to explore possible collaboration for a newly established IIT.
