The Fifth Japan-Republic of Korea (ROK) Vice-Ministerial Strategic Dialogue and 16th Japan-ROK Director-General Level Consultation on the Legal Status and the Treatment of ROK Nationals Residing in Japan

The Fifth Japan-Republic of Korea (ROK) Vice-Ministerial Strategic Dialogue will be held on January 8 (Tue) in Seoul. The Dialogue will take place between Mr. Shotaro Yachi, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Cho Jung-pyo, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the ROK. In the Dialogue, there will be frank exchange of opinions about such issues of common concern to the two countries as bilateral relations and the North Korean issues, from a broader perspective and a mid- and long-term point of view.
The 16th Japan-ROK Director-General Level Consultation on the Legal Status and the Treatment of Nationals of the ROK Residing in Japan will be held on January 9 (Wed) in Seoul. The Consultation will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Kenichiro Sasae, Director-General, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Foreign Ministry, and others, and on the ROK side by Mr. Kim Jae-shin, Director-General, Northeast Asian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and others.
