The Fifth Meeting between Japan and Vietnam on Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Negotiations

The fifth meeting between Japan and Vietnam on economic partnership agreement (EPA) negotiations will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from October 2 (Tue) to 4 (Thu).
The meeting will be attended, on the Japanese side, by Mr. Jun Yokota, Representative of the Government of Japan for Japan-Vietnam and Japan-Switzerland Economic Partnership Agreements Negotiations, and representatives of relevant ministries including Deputy-Director-General level participants who will co-chair the meeting, and, on the Vietnamese side, by Mr. Phan The Rue, Chief Negotiator, and other relevant officials.
In the meeting, consultations will be held on wide-ranging issues including trade in goods and services, aiming at achieving an early conclusion of the Agreement.
