The Sixth Japan-Iran Bilateral Consultations on Consular Affairs

1.    The Sixth Japan-Iran Bilateral Consultations on Consular Affairs will be held on September 2 (Sun) in Tehran.

2.    It will be attended from the Japanese side by Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki, Director-General of the Consular Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and officials from the ministries and agencies concerned; and from the Iranian side by Mr. Mirfakhar, Director-General of the Consular Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and officials from the ministries and agencies concerned.

3.    In order to promote sound exchanges between Japan and Iran, there will be an exchange of opinions on consular affairs in general between the two countries such as immigration issues including illegal stay and related crimes, protection of the Japanese nationals in Iran including facilitation of the residential procedures for them.
