- The second round of the negotiation on the Trilateral Investment Agreement
and the Seventh Consultation on the Improvement of Business Environment
among the People’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea will
take place on July 31 (Tue) and August 1 (Wed) in Cheju Island, the Republic
of Korea.
- The negotiation will be attended by Mr. Masashi Mizukami, Deputy Director
General, Economic Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Chief Negotiator
of Japan) and Mr. Seiichi Nagatsuka, Deputy Director General for Trade Policy,
Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and other officials from relevant
ministries of Japan; and Mr. Sun Peng, Deputy Director-General, Department
of Foreign Investment Administration, Ministry of Commerce (Chief Negotiator
of China) and other officials of China; and Mr. Chung Man-young, Advisor
for Trade Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Chief Negotiator
of Korea) and other officials of Korea, will participate.
- At the forthcoming negotiation, the participants will discuss draft articles of this agreement which was proposed by Japan in the first round, and other matters.
