Consolidating Educational & Research System at Indian Institute of Information
Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Jabalpur (IIITDM-J) (tentative name)
will be held on July 12 (Thu) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

of Tokyo, Dr. Masuo Aizawa, President of the Tokyo Institute of Technology,
and related officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of
Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
- In December 2006 when Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of
India, visited Japan, the two leaders of Japan and India confirmed that they
would cooperate with each other for the development of the IIITDM-J with a view
to fostering human resources for the promotion of the manufacturing industry
of India and promoting academic exchanges between the two countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended support through refining the curriculums and the implementation of short-term intensive courses, with a help of Japanese professors and corporate researchers. It has decided to launch a consortium so that the Japanese side will be able to extend industry-government-academia support for the IIITDM-J.
