Mr. Takeshi Iwaya, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, to attend Enlarged International Contact Group Meeting on Darfur

Mr. Takeshi Iwaya, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit Paris from June 24 (Sun) to 26 (Tue).

On June 25 (Mon), Mr. Iwaya will attend an Enlarged International Contact Group Meeting on Darfur under the auspices of the Government of France as the representative of the Government of Japan. At the Meeting, there will be discussion on such matters as political process toward the solution of the Darfur issue and the humanitarian and security situation in the Darfur region.
