Visit to Japan of H.E. Dr. Pham Gia Khiem, Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

  1. H.E. Dr. Pham Gia Khiem, Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, will visit Japan from May 22 (Tue) to 27 (Sun).


  2. During his stay, Dr. Khiem will hold the first meeting of the Japan-Viet Nam Cooperation Committee, co-chaired by himself and Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs. He will also attend a working dinner hosted by Mr. Aso, pay courtesy calls on other leaders of the government including Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, attend an international exchange meeting held by a private corporation, and have a tour outside of Tokyo.


  3. It is hoped that Dr. Khiem's visit to Japan will further strengthen the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries.
