The Second Meeting between Japan and Vietnam on Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Negotiations

1. The second meeting between Japan and Vietnam on economic partnership agreement (EPA) negotiations will be held in Vietnam (Hanoi) from March 27 (Tue) to 30 (Fri).

2. The meeting will be attended by, on the Japanese side, Mr. Jun Yokota, Ambassador for International Trade and Economic Affairs, and representatives of relevant ministries including Deputy-Director-General level participants, and on the Vietnamese side, Mr. Phan The Rue, Chief Negotiator, and other relevant officials.

3. In the meeting, consultations will be held on wide-ranging areas including trade in goods and services, aiming at achieving an early conclusion of the Agreement.
