Mr. Katsuhito Asano, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Visit India, Vietnam, and China

- Mr. Katsuhito Asano, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit India (8th and 9th), Vietnam (10th), and China (from 11th to 14th), from March 8 (Thu) to 14 (Wed).
- In India, Mr. Asano will attend the "Symposium on Japan and India," which will be held on 9th (Fri), and deliver a keynote speech. He will also exchange views on bilateral, and regional cooperation, and Japan-India relations in the future, with key officials of India.
- In Vietnam, Mr. Asano will exchange views on bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as international issues, with leaders of Vietnam.
- In China (Beijing, Shanghai), Mr. Asano will attend the opening memorial reception of "The Japan-China Exchange Year of Culture and Sports 2007," which will be held on 12th (Mon) in Beijing. He will also exchange opinions, and ask for cooperation for the various exchange programs, with key officials of China.
