Visit to Japan by Hon. Massimo D' Alema, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic

- Hon. Massimo D'Alema, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, will visit Japan from 31 January (Wed) to 4 February (Sun).
- During his stay, Mr. D'Alema will meet Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to exchange views on bilateral relations and international issues. He will also pay a courtesy call on Mr. Yohei Kono, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Ms. Chikage Oogi, President of the House of Councillors.
- Mr. D'Alema's visit to Japan also aims at introducing a large-scale promotion project called "PRIMAVERA ITALIANA 2007" which will be held from March to June 2007 all over Japan.
- His visit is expected to further develop friendly relations between Japan and Italy.
