Dr. Kiyohiko Toyama, Vice-Minister (Parliamentary) for Foreign Affairs, to Visit New York, Havana and Irkutsk

- Dr. Kiyohiko Toyama, Vice-Minister (Parliamentary) for Foreign Affairs, will visit New York, Havana and Irkutsk from September 13 (Wed) to September 22 (Fri).
- In New York, Dr. Toyama will attend the High-Level Dialogue on International Migration and Development, which will be held from September 14 (Thu) to 15 (Fri), at which he is scheduled to give a speech and exchange views with those concerned in the United Nations and with participants from various countries.
- In Havana, Dr. Toyama is scheduled to attend the 14th Conference of Heads of State or Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which will be held from September 15 (Fri) to 16 (Sat), as a representative of Japan, one of the Guest Countries to the NAM, as well as to have individual talks with leaders and others of the NAM nations.
- In Irkutsk, Dr. Toyama is scheduled to attend the 4th Baikal Economic Forum, which will be held from September 19 (Tue) to 21 (Thu), and make a brief speech on the Government of Japan's policy on Russia, the Russian Far East and Siberia. He will also have talks with the Russian government and high local government officials in the Russian Far East and Siberia region, and exchange views on the Japan-Russian cooperation.
