The Fifth Round of Negotiations between Japan and the Republic of Korea (R.O.K.) on the Delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)

  1. The Fifth Round of Negotiations between Japan and the Republic of Korea (R.O.K.) on the Delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) will be held on June 12 (Mon) and 13 (Tue) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  2. The meeting will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Ichiro Komatsu, Director-General of the International Legal Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other officials concerned from the Ministry, and representatives of the Cabinet Secretariat, the Fisheries Agency and the Japan Coast Guard, and on the R.O.K. side by Mr. Park Hee Kwon, Director-General of the Treaties Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and other relevant officials of the Ministry, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and others.
  3. The meeting will be held for the first time in six years in accordance with the agreement on resuming the negotiations reached at the Vice-Ministerial-level Consultations in April this year.
