Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Visit the United States, Belgium and Lithuania

Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the United States, Belgium and Lithuania from April 30 (Sun) to May 7 (Sun).
In the United States, Mr. Aso will have talks with Mr. Richard B. Cheney, Vice President of the United States, and Dr. Condoleezza Rice, U.S. Secretary of State.
In Belgium, Mr. Aso will visit the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) headquarters and will hold talks with Mr. Jakob Gijsbert (Jaap) de Hoop Scheffer, NATO Secretary General. Mr. Aso will also pay courtesy calls on Mr. Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, President of the European Commission, and Mr. Guy Verhofstadt, Prime Minister of Belgium.
In Lithuania, Mr. Aso will pay courtesy calls on Mr. Valdas Adamkus, President of the Republic of Lithuania, and Mr. Algirdas Mykolas Brazauskas, Prime Minister of the Republic. Mr. Aso will also hold Japan-Lithuania foreign ministerial talks with his counterpart.
