Visit to Japan of Mr. Alberto Romulo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines

- Mr. Alberto Romulo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, will visit Japan from April 3 (Mon) to 6 (Thu) as a guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- During his stay, Mr. Romulo will meet with Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and other senior officials of the Government of Japan and Parliamentary Members to exchange views on bilateral relations in general and regional situations.
- This year, Japan and the Philippines celebrate the 50th anniversary of the normalization of their diplomatic relations as a Friendship Year.
- It is expected that the friendship with the Philippines, the next chair of ASEAN, will be strengthened through his official visit.
