Mr. Katsuyuki Kawai, Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs, to Visit West African Countries

  1. Mr. Katsuyuki Kawai, Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs, will visit Guinea and Ghana in West Africa from February 21 (Mon) to stress the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and U.N. Security Council reform.

  2. During his stay in West Africa, Mr. Kawai will exchange views with leading officials of each government on Japan's cooperation for Africa based on the TICAD (Tokyo International Conference on African Development) process, cooperative relationships in the international arena such as the U.N., and other issues.
