Visit to Japan by Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea

1. Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea, will visit Japan from October 27 (Thu) to 29 (Sat) as the working visit upon invitation by the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
2. On October 27, Mr. Ban will hold a Japan-R.O.K. foreign ministerial meeting with Mr. Nobutaka Machimura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and exchange views on current Japan-R.O.K. relations and on issues of common interest such as the regional and international situation.
3. During his stay in Japan, Mr. Ban will also pay a courtesy call on Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan.
