Ms. Yoriko Kawaguchi, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Visit the Republic of Korea (R.O.K)

- Ms. Yoriko Kawaguchi, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the Republic of Korea (R.O.K) on May 29 (Sat) and 30 (Sun).
- During her stay in the R.O.K., Ms. Kawaguchi will hold foreign ministerial talks with Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and will reconfirm close cooperation between Japan and the R.O.K. on their policies toward North Korea based on the results of Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's recent visit to North Korea and looking toward the next round of the Six-Party Talks.
Ms. Kawaguchi will also meet Mr. Roh Moo-hyun, President of the R.O.K., and will exchange views on measures to further develop Japan-Korea relations after his return to office.
