Mr. Kazunori Tanaka, Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs, to Visit Afghanistan

1. Mr. Kazunori Tanaka, Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs, will visit Afghanistan from November 11 (Tue) to 16 (Sun).
   
   
2. Mr. Tanaka will carry a personal letter from Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister, addressed to Mr. Hamid Karzai, President of the Transitional Administration of Afghanistan. During his stay in that country, Mr. Tanaka will exchange views with dignitaries of the Transitional Administration about reconstruction assistance and the country's political process. He will also make an on-the-ground inspection around Kabul.
