Fourth Policy Dialogue between the Foreign Ministries of Japan and Mongolia

- The fourth Policy Dialogue between the Foreign Ministries of Japan and Mongolia will be held on 16 (Mon) and 17 (Tue) July in Ulaanbaatar.
- The Dialogue will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Shigekazu Sato, Deputy
Director-General, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, as chief representative, Mr. Katsuhiko Oku, Director, United Nations Policy Division, Foreign Policy Bureau, and others; and on the Mongolian side by Mr. B. Ganbold, State Secretary, as chief representative, Mr. J. Goulgou, Deputy Director, Asia and America Department, Mr. A. Munkhbat, Director, First Division, Department of Multilateral Cooperation, and others.
- At the forthcoming Dialogue, there will be an exchange of views on bilateral
relations, regional situations in areas such as China, Russia, the Korean Peninsula and Central Asia, security dialogue in Northeastern Asia, and cooperation between Japan and Mongolia at the United Nations including its reforms, and other matters.
- Since the first meeting was held in July 1997 in Ulaanbaatar, the Dialogue has been
helping the Foreign Ministries of Japan and Mongolia to conduct wide-ranging and free exchange of views, exchange information on the international situation, deepen mutual trust, thus establishing a "Comprehensive Partnership" between the two countries.
