Senior Officials Meeting on Reconstruction Assistance to Afghanistan

    A Senior Officials Meeting on Reconstruction Assistance to Afghanistan is scheduled to be held on 20 November in Washington D.C. at the under-secretary level. The meeting will be co-chaired by Japan and the United States, and will be attended by delegates from countries and international organizations which are expected to play an important role in the future reconstruction in Afghanistan.

    Participants of the meeting will discuss how efforts should be made by the international community for the reconstruction in Afghanistan.

    Dr. Sadako Ogata, Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Japan for assistance of Afghanistan, will attend the opening session of initial part of the meeting.
