Vice-Ministerial Subcommittee Meeting of the Japanese-Russian Joint Committee on the Conclusion of a Peace Treaty

June 16, 2000

1. A Vice-Ministerial Subcommittee Meeting of the Japanese-Russian Joint Committee on the Conclusion of a Peace Treaty (including the meetings of the Subcommittee on Border Demarcation and the Subcommittee on Joint Economic Activities) and a Vice-Ministerial Level Consultation will take place on June 22 (Thu) in Moscow.

2. These meetings will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Ryozo Kato, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, and others, and on the Russian side by Mr. Aleksandr Losyukov, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, and others.

3. These meetings follow the previous Subcommittee Meeting held on December 6 and 7, 1999, in Tokyo.
