Visit to Japan of The Rt Hon Jenny Shipley, Prime Minister of New Zealand

- The Rt Hon Jenny Shipley, Prime Minister of New Zealand, together with Mr. Shipley and a suite, will visit Japan from July 22 (Thu.) to 23 (Fri.), 1999.
- During her stay in Japan, the Rt Hon Shipley, as the Prime Minister and the APEC chair this year, will hold talks with Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi, Foreign Minister Masahiko Koumura, and other Cabinet members to exchange opinions, among others, on the APEC Ministerial and Leaders' Meetings to be held in Auckland in September.
- The Prime Minister Shipley will give a keynote speech for the APEC Symposium on the Asian Economy to be held on July 22 (Thu.) and 23 (Fri.) in Tokyo, in which the Asian Economy will be comprehensively discussed.
- The Prime Minister Shipley visited Japan with Mr. Shipley as Official Guests in March 1998. The visit will be the first in one year and four months.
