Visit to Japan of Mr. Luiz Felipe Palmeira Lampreia, Minister of External Relations of the Federative Republic of Brazil

- Mr. Luiz Felipe Palmeira Lampreia, Minister of External Relations of the Federative Republic of Brazil, accompanied by a suite, will visit Japan from November 25 (Wed.) to 29 (Sun.), 1998.
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. Lampreia will have talks with government officials including Foreign Minister Masahiko Koumura, representatives of private economic organizations and others.
- This will be Mr. Lampreia's fourth visit to Japan after an interval of two years and eight months. (His first visit was in 1976 to accompany the then President Geisel; the second, in May 1995 as a Guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and the third, in March 1996 to accompany President Cardoso). It is expected that the forthcoming visit will further promote the friendly relations between Japan and Brazil.
