- Japan is deeply shocked and outraged by the many deaths and injuries of soldiers caused by a suicide bomb attack on Monday, May 21, in Sana’a, Yemen. Japan expresses its deepest condolences to the victims and their bereaved families.
- Japan strongly condemns such an act of terrorism as inexcusable and reiterates that no act of terrorism can be justified in any form or manifestation, committed for whatever purposes.
- Japan hopes that the Government of Yemen will achieve stability through progress on the strengthening of security measures and a peaceful administrative transition. Japan will continue to support the efforts of Yemen toward this end as much as possible.
