  1. On March 11 and 15, four French soldiers were shot dead in the vicinity of Toulouse, France, and on March 19 at a Jewish school in the same city four teachers and pupils were shot dead.

  2. In response to this tragedy on March 20, Mr. Ichiro Komatsu, Japan's Ambassador to France, sent messages to H.E. Mr. François Fillon, Prime Minister of the French Republic, H.E. Mr. Alain Juppé, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the French Republic, and H.E. Mr. Gérard Longuet, Minister of Defence of the French Republic, expressing his indignation over the attacks and his condolences to the bereaved families.
