  1.  Following the announcement on December 1 that North Korea would be launching a missile purported to be “satellite,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs established the liaison office headed by the Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau and has been carrying out information collection and other activities.
  2.  In consideration of the current situation in which there is a rising possibility of a missile purported to be “satellite” being launched by North Korea, in order to enhance information collection and prepare for every possible eventuality, the above liaison office was reorganized, and as of 13:00 on December 9, “the Emergency Headquarters within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in relation to the Launching of a Missile by North Korea Purported to be ‘Satellite’ ” headed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs was established.
