The 1st Meeting of Japan-India Cyber Dialogue

- The 1st Meeting of Japan-India Cyber Dialogue was held in Tokyo, Japan on November 5, 2012. Japanese side was headed by H.E. Mr. Osamu Imai, Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime and Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and officials from the following ministries and agencies attended the meeting; Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Secretariat, National Police Agency, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Defense. Indian side was headed by H.E. Mr. Asoke Mukerji, Special Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs of India, and officials from related ministries and agencies attended the meeting.
- The launch of Japan-India Cyber Dialogue was decided at the 6th Japan-India Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, held in April, 2012. At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on such areas as national security issues, cybercrime, information security and system protection, as well as related social and economic issues.
