Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake Survey of Affected Areas by UN and other Organizations

- Today (Thursday, March 24), a survey team consisting of members from UN organizations including the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), visits the Miyagi Prefectural Office and Ishinomaki City. The team will observe the affected areas and exchange opinions with local officials and private individuals regarding the coordination of assistance by overseas NGOs and others in response to the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake.
- UNOCHA will promptly issue a report based on the result of this survey.
