Acceptance of Relief Supplies from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

- On Thursday, March 24, a special aircraft of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, carrying relief supplies from the Government in response to the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake, arrived at Central Japan International Airport (arrived at 1:13a.m.).
- Based on the needs of those who suffered from the earthquake, the Venezuelan Government transported 167 packages of blankets, approximately 2.8 tons of mineral water, 10 tons of canned sardines and tuna, etc. The relief supplies will be sent to the disaster-struck regions.
- At an early moment, H.E. Mr. Hugo Chávez Frías, President of Venezuela, expressed his condolences and sympathy and sent messages that the Venezuelan Government will offer to provide necessary assistance to Japan. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation of the Venezuelan Government.
