Donation from the Kingdom of the Netherlands

- On Friday, March 18, in response to the Tohoku district-off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake, the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands announced that the Government will provide relief money of 1 million euro (about 115 million yen) through Netherlands Red Cross. The Netherlands Red Cross has also opened a special account for accepting donations from Dutch people. All donations will be directly used as relief money for Japan.
- The Government of Japan has received letters of sympathy from H.E. Mr. Mark Rutte, the Prime Minister and the Minister of General Affairs, and H.E. Prof. Uri Rosenthal, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
- Minister of Foreign Affairs Prof. Uri Rosenthal (on Friday, March 18) wrote a message in a condolence book at the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates a sense of solidarity expressed and assistance extended by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
